Ditcher Law Wind Farm Consent being Reconsidered
The Ditcher Law Wind Farm consent was recently quashed because the likely grid connection had not been included in the Environmental Impact report. The developer has now provided additional information to the Energy Consents Unit to rectify the omission. Representations on the grid connection should be made by 23rd September. The additional information can be viewed on the Energy Consents Unit website: https://www.energyconsents.scot/ApplicationDetails.aspx?cr=ECU00004890 If you have difficulty finding the information, do a ‘Simple Search’ for Ditcher Law, and set the order of documents by ‘date of publication’. Look for Additional Information – Grid Appraisal You can also view a hardcopy of the information at the Tower Hotel in Oxton and at the SBC Headquarters during normal opening hours. For the Tower Hotel this is Thursday & Friday 5.00 – 10.00pm and Saturday’s and Sunday’s 12 noon – 10.00pm.

SBC have advised LCC that the Scottish Government did not contest the application by Scottish Borders Council in relation to the granting of planning consent for the Ditcher Law Wind Farm.
The Court process is taking place just now but we can advise that the planning permission has been quashed and the Wind Farm is now not consented.
SBC would like to thank all of those in Lauderdale who objected to this application and provided Jenny, John and I with excellent information which we’ve been able to use as regards Ditcher Law.
This is an excellent outcome for Local Campaigners and a wake up call to the Scottish Government that they need to carefully consider renewable energy consents and other major energy applications.
Kind regards.
