- Parking: Side streets are recommended; avoid the A68 where the cavalcade passes.
- Specific streets will be closed or restricted during events, including Mid Row, Market Place, West High Street, The Loan, The Row, Lower Back Road, and Mill Wynd
- Safety: Spectators should maintain a safe distance from horses and follow instructions from foot Stewards and mounted Marshalls. Riders should wear appropriate protective clothing and ensure both horse and rider are competent.
- Transport: Bus services, including Service 51 and departures from Edinburgh and Galashiels, will experience diversions and minor delays on 29 July and 1 August due to the event.
